I am modeling acoustophoresis phenomena caused by the propagation of surface acoustic waves (SAWs) to separate particles in a fluid. ultimately, complicate whole blood acoustophoresis. This will allow us to isolate CTC-mimicking fluorescent beads, then HeLa cells and, eventually, patient tumor cells from whole blood. EXPERIMENTAL COMSOL modeling software was used to create a large number of microfluidic designs for simulation, an example of which is shown in Figure 1.
